A Few of Our Favorite Places
Explore the Area
We have a few local spots here and there that we especially enjoy and we wanted to share them with you. We offer the following:
Dancin Vineyards
Dancin became a favorite of ours shortly after we moved to Jacksonville and have often joked with owner Dan Marca "it's the best non restaurant in town". The food and hospitality always seem to be perfect for our needs and we love the live entertainment often featured there. The seating area adjacent to the tasting room offers views of the valley and the winery's beautiful gardens and pond. DO make reservations in advance, cheers!
Britt Gardens
Jacksonville is famous for its small town charm, wineries, shops and restaurants and it also offers a fantastic venue for live entertainment with it's outdoor concert stage featuring major acts at the Britt Music and Art Festival. Tickets are in demand so do book us and order your tickets at the same time. We have complimentary seating that you can take to the festival to keep you up off the grass. You can walk there in about 6 minutes from TouVelle House, no need to drive!
The Jacksonville Inn
We love the Jacksonville Inn for many reasons, the wine shop offers a complete offering of some of Oregon's best wines and the outdoor patio at the restaurant remains a favorite of ours for family celebrations. Steps away from Touvelle House, it is located right in the middle of town, you can't miss it! Reservations highly recommended.
The Pot Rack
OK, it's true, we admit to being "foodies" and if cooking is your thing, owner Erika, owner of The Pot Rack offers just about everything you will need to put together that perfect meal for your friends and family. See jvillepotrack on Instagram!
Back Porch Barbeque
Back Porch Barbeque remains one of our favorite "go to's" in town for those times when we are just not in the mood to cook for ourselves or we are craving their barbeque. Everything and more you would expect, great burgers, ribs, brisket and don't miss the spicy beans and Caesar salad! They also have a full bar, yet another reason to not cook at home!
And in Nearby Ashland ...
Irvine and Roberts Vineyards
This winery offers beautifully made wines and has a great hospitality program in thanks to their in-house chef. The stunner, aside from the wine and food is their back terrace and the sweeping views of the mountains, often snow-capped late in the Spring. This winery, we feel is a "must go to" winery to visit when in the region. We go there for a quick getaway and to unwind after a long week. Reservations are required and worth it!
